In short, do yourself a favour and find another company. For us, it has been a disaster from beginning to end. For those who are interested in how they operate, here is our story.

We were moving from Spain to the UK and paid about £1200 + VAT. As we are expats and move a lot, we know that is not cheap, nor expensive. It is a reasonable price if it is a quality service.

At acceptance, we had to pay a portion of the full amount, which we promptly did. That is when things started going south. Communication was horrible. We mailed and called them many times to get a collection date and time, which we only got a few days before collection.

At the day of collection, they were five hours late. They also did not have enough space left in the truck, so they had to make a trip to the trailer to unload some stuff to create extra space. It has taken ten hours from waiting for the truck to arrive until loading the last item. That alone was already unacceptable.

They guaranteed delivery to happen 14 to 21 days after collection. Unfortunately, one month later, we still did receive our items. We were camping out in our new house, sleeping on the floor, eating and working on one small table with tho chairs we brought with us in the car. After many phone calls and emails (again) we got as many vague excuses.

Then finally, a few days before Christmas, they arrived. What we saw was beyond belief. About fifteen of our boxes were soaking wet and nearly as much plastic crates were ruined. Some even had ten centimetres of water in them. There was a lot of damage, including tabletops and vintage furniture. We compiled a detailed list, and the loss came out at over £4000.

They did not even bother offering compensation, and now they don't respond to emails. So, unfortunately, we are now handing it over to our solicitor. It has all been emotionally and financially draining. It was a horrible experience.

Our experience of moving with Imove was amazing. It was efficient and stressfree. The communication from them was excellent and their packers and removal men were brilliant. The whole move went smoothly from start to finish. Sharon kept in constant communication with us to make sure that we were happy with everything. She put herself out to make sure things ran efficiently - and they certainly did. The removal men were calm and polite which reduced the stress of moving. Nothing was damaged and they were very careful with our possessions. I would certainly use them again and would happily recommend them to anyone.     .

I would like to congratulate IMove for the punctuality, expediency, and professionalism in which my relocation from Orlando Florida to Kent, was carried out. The team arrived on the day at the appointed time, packed everything up, and loaded the container within two hours. On arrival in the UK I was notified and once cleared by customs, a day arranged for the goods to be delivered to two locations, without any fuss.

I would highly recommend them to anyone, and if I have to move again would not hesitate to contact them.

We moved back to France last month and one item got damaged. We made a claim and were asked to provide them with a quote for the repair, which amounted to £200. We had extended the insurance cover to £15,300 and they offered to refund £22 as the 1% excess is based on the total amount insured and not on the value of the item. It doesn't make sense to us. We moved several times in the past and made a few claims but we have never encountered this kind of issue. Also be aware that they hire contractors.

My move was not from UK to UK but from UK to Germany. The company wrote that the delivery will be :"..to get the goods delivered to you within 14 days of collection if not sooner" The company explained it was a "..as a groupage service" and the items they wanted to deliver to Germany were postponed. Only after I called and contacted the salesperson (which was nerved by me contacting them on a regular basis) I found out that my boxes were still stored in the UK. Over all the salesperson was not very good in customer service and the whole delivery took over 5 weeks. Unfortunately I found another negative feedback from a very unhappy customer about this company - I should have made a better research about that company. My reason why I decided to use this company was that they advertise on their webiste that they do have the ISO9001 certificate which is a european wide Quality certificate which I don't think this company deserves. I can not advise anybody to use this company. I certainly wont and prefer to pay way more for a good service and an on time delivery.

AVOID! My move was from england to spain. They were so nice at the begining and the price was good. After I had paid and the initial removal happened the problems started. I waited for my things for almost 3 weeks, they made me pay almost 1000 pounds more to be able to bring my things home. And the final nightmare was that my TV never came! I think the worst has been that nobody has taken responsability for this. I ended up paying much more, sleeping on the floor for more than what I expected and my TV is gone! Avoid, pay more in the begining and get a better service.

Imove cancel the service 2/3 weeks before the service when everything was agreed (making this process the most stressful possible)

We did repeatedly asked to survey the apartment and Imove did not want to survey, increasing the price afterwards.

Asked for a dismantled service, nothing was dismantled by the Imove team, I repeatedly asked to dismantled some furniture to the Imove remover, they ignored me and laugh, saying that "ok , is fine don't worry " by this service that has not been provided but paid , the cubic space increased in transport, therefore charge more more for extra space.


Incredible lack of communication in the procedures, service and payments, therefore more than 20 days in delivery
as a removal company should check the locations and collection area.

Asked several times to where the items were, lack of response and ignore, stating in the last email that the goods are in Almeria

Asking for the address of the location of the goods to organise a private collection, continuously ignore and therefore obligates me to pay the service before 9 am on Monday without providing me information.

the last email that if I don't pay my goods will not be delivered, intimidation procedure to get the payment done.

I have been served with multiple invoices, increasing the service from 1064 to a more 3 extra payment invoices while items were on the way which makes it a total of 2200 approximately, as a customer never was clear how your business procedures and how is possible that all the prices go up every day.


Late delivery, Late service and obligated to pay after misconducting the services.

The move with Imove International worked very well for me. All my goods got there in one piece and apart from a scratch on one IKEA wardrobe side wall everything was fine. Not a single piece of glass was broken. I had used seriously oversized boxes for packing some of my belongings, which I should not have done, yet the movers still handled these, which I very much appreciated. My stuff got to the destination even before I did, so everything worked out very nicely. I would use this moving company again.

Service cost: £1915

IMove was involved in getting our 2 containers (packers in US went overboard with packing material!) from Southampton to our new house in Wales. The unloading crew were amazingly professional and capable. Nothing was broken by them despite the (in hindsight) crazy idea of moving an entire US household into a UK cottage. They went above and beyond when furniture was too large for simple moving. They were friendly and courteous. The office staff (Nikki) was unbelievably polite, professional and proficient. I would use IMove again in a heartbeat. [Cost estimated as I paid at point of origin in US].

Although the delivery time from London to Switzerland was prompt, I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company as one of the more valuable items was never delivered and "lost". There did not seem to be any genuine surprise, worry or apologies as to the loss of this item. They simply refered my case to their insurance company which only compensates max. 40pounds, which is of course totally out of proportion. So that leaves the customer without any possibilities of getting compensation. IMove has not taken any responsibility and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a regular occurence for them. This company is not worth your trust.

We had chosen Imove because their website showed them as specialists in international removal and they do part loads. It turns out that they are just an internet company and subcontract all their work to other removal firms. We had agreed on a collection date in London of 2nd July as they had said this would be fine to be delivered in Spain between 9-21 July. Whilst in spain they said the removals would arrive 1st week in Aug- too late as we were back in the Uk. Luckily the subcontracted company agreed to store our items and deliver on 21 Sept when we were back in Spain. We eventually agreed a delivery date of 22nd ( as they had forgotten to load our boxes and had to send another van) at 8.30am . They eventually arrived at 10.30am. All items delivered although we had significant worries if they would ever arrive.
Make sure you check if you are using a real removal company or an internet company- searching the address on google maps( street view) helps.

Service cost: £750

We entrusted IMove with possessions to the value of £15,000 to transport to a holiday rental property in Italy (sorry Italy was not an option on your drop down box). We travelled to Italy in order to unload our furniture at the assigned timeframe, however our items failed to arrive during the week of our visit. The furniture did eventually arrive and a friend very kindly took delivery of our items. When we returned to Italy to unpack our items some 4 months later, we discovered a large number of items missing and some very valuable pieces broken - total value £2,500 worth of losses or damages.
We were offered no compensation - as we didn't check our items on time. We would have checked them on time - if they had arrived on time! They accused our friends of stealing our items and accepted absolutely no responsibility for the losses or damages experienced.
Please avoid and also check your small print with any movers you do decide to go with. We had no idea there was a 7 day timeframe in which to check items being shipped overseas.

These guys are amazing! Fernando went out of his way to ensure everything ran smoothly. The local packers in Durban were great and everything was well packed and marked for easy identification. It only took 5 weeks from the date our household goods were packed and collected until they were delivered to our new home in London. The local agent was also most helpful and the goods were delivered on the allotted date and time. The price was very competitive and we have no hesitation in recommending iMove International for you next move!

A professional job by IMOVE. Fantastic staff from quote to collection to delivery. Price very competitive. Reliable and efficient. Team in office very patient and obliging. Team collecting our stuff very organised and did everything to ensure I was not stressed at all. Things were collected from Uk and delivered to Malta on dates We requested. Everything arrived in tact, no breakages or damage at all! Team in Malta worked hard in the heat but kept smiling, placing everything where we asked. I will definitely recommend!!??

Despite the short notice we gave for our move to Mallorca, iMove's quote was one of the lowest and the volume estimate was spot on; the only additional charge was for insurance. The collection crew worked a solid nine hours to pack and load our possessions, they were polite and friendly through the whole day too. The delivery was scheduled for for just over a week later, much quicker than we had anticipated and the only thing we were asked to arrange was a reserved parking space; they even sent someone to check the street ahead of time to make sure that there was room for the truck. On the day of delivery the team arrived exactly on time and had arranged for a smaller van to shuttle our things from the bigger vehicle that they parked up about twenty minutes away from our little village. Again they were quick, friendly and delivered everything intact. Unquestionably good value for money and a friendly, helpful service; if anyone ever asks I will recommend iMove without hesitation.

We used this company for our move from London to Auckland (NZ). The experience was really good at first, but when we received our boxes in Auckland, one was missing with parts for our baby's cot. At first they wouldn't want to hear anything as I didn't subscribe to an insurance (I didn't complain about the various things that arrived broken, but I thought delivering all the 25 boxes without missing one was the bare minimum we could expect from a moving company), I then had to escalate and speak to someone higher in the hierarchy, they first told me that they would cover the cost for replacing the cot..and then went silent. After 2 months I had to send them an email every week to have an update and it was always "we ll come back in a few days" (of course they did not) .. more than 2 months after my complaint (and 6 months after they collected the boxes in London to send them to Auckland) we are now left without a cot bed for our 10 month old baby and we have to buy another one for £300 as they can't replace the parts or even refund the cost.
Needless to say that I am very disappointed, we paid top money for that move hoping it would go well but not only did they lose a box but the interaction to try and get a refund was very slow and painful.
There are so many other moving companies, I would strongly advise to go with someone else.

I commissioned IMove international to help me in my relocation from Paris, France to the UK. The quotation offered a service simple and cheap, which suited me as I did not have a lot to move.

In the quotation email, I was told I would have a dedicated vehicle, and the salesman assured me that once my belongings would be loaded onto the truck, it would remained sealed until the delivery, and none of my items would be touched at any point.
- Pick up -

First, the remover who showed up at my place was a subcontractor, who did not speak any English or any French, just Polish. Second, the truck was not an IMove truck, which made it look suspicious, and little was done on IMove side to reassure me. Which is not very convenient to communicate. Third, the truck was also already 2/3 full, which was fine as I did not have too many parcels. Last, The driver did not sign the inventory I gave him, and left without saying a word.
- Delivery -

The truck arrived a few hours early the morning after, while I had been specific about the time scheduled as I had to travel to the UK by plane on that very morning. The truck was then unloaded by relatives who did not know the actual expected content of the delivery. I discovered later that the truck made several stops on the way, unloaded and reloading all my belongings. At the delivery, two parcels where missing. I could only find this out after the driver had gone as I hadn't been able to be present during the delivery because it happened way earlier than agreed.
- Follow up -
in spite of many emails and calls, I have never heard of my two lost parcels since. And it does not seem that anything had actually been done to retrieve them.

Therefore I would definitely not recommend this service.

I contacted 6 International removal companies via a price comparison website and IMove International was the first to get back by a long shot.  I had a quote within 24 hours (₤999 the next nearest I was quoted was ₤1200) - the rest took as long as a week to get back.  I asked to go ahead with the move on the Friday afternoon and my stuff was collected at 8am on the following Tuesday morning!  I was dealing with Sharon Hack, who bent over backwards to help me.  She was outstanding.  When I explained I was moving from a place that may be difficult for an articulated lorry - no problem, she arranged for a smaller lorry to come.  I said that the delivery date may not suit - no problem I had the option of storing my stuff until a time that was more convenient.   The removal man himself was wonderful - we had agreed to help load as they sent the smaller van which only has the driver.  Everything was packed safely and quickly. The things arrived in Scotland 2 days later in perfect condition. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend IMove International, they took a lot of stress out the moving process for me and at a really competitive price with such friendly and professional staff.

Excellent service! I went for a dedicated van service with driver - all went smoothly, driver arrived at both ends exactly when he said he would, he made sure all was loaded safely, and was all-round professional.
The communication with the office staff was really good.
I've asked for a quote on their website and Paul contacted me on the same day and sent me the quote by email.
Somebody from the office (sorry I can't remember the name), updated me reading collection and delivery dates and times.

The service of the driver was excellent (he was hired via Imove from a Polish moving company)
The contact person I had at the iMove and the customer service was terrible, he made 4 different mistakes in his emails, and I had to reconfirm few times each one.

The worse of all was when he answered my question about the loading of the track.
I assumed I have ordered a dedicated track with load and off load, in the invoice it was mentioned otherwise so I contact him by mail
a week before the removal to clarify it. he confirmed by mail, that a team will be at my place to load the track.

At the removal day I had a very unfortunate surprise to discover that there is no crew and I had to do the whole loading by myself
(since iMove refused to help me out with arranging additional help).
After asking iMove to help me and arrange someone to offload the track since I injured my shoulder while loading it, they promised to arrange help at the delivery point, but again, unfortunate surprise at the morning of the delivery day, only after calling them, I discovered nothing has arranged.

Fortunately, the driver saw my situation and arranged a colleague to help us out with the off load.

I hope you can understand from the above how unsatisfied I am.

I Move's European removal service met and exceeded my expectations. An unqualified YES and many thanks for their hard work. I had never heard of the company and took a chance that a small less well known entity could adequately provide trans-European removal service. This company is young, energetic and ambitious. Their quote was lower than others yet their  service, superior. They arrived at the pick up location on time, performed packing and loading cheerfully and without breakage or trouble. On the delivery end they worked around my schedule and, for the most part, provided the service that I had contracted for.   May IMove  stay small and trim and keep in their vision the importance of customer satisfaction. Much appreciation for UK-based Tony Lewis: efficient, alacrative, good-natured, Lewis is a tribute to this removals company. .
